The QCELL’s PhenoCheck camera is a battery operated, wearable/handheld, macro-imaging system for the in situ monitoring of crops. It is a powerful tool for analyzing plants, fruits, flowers, seeds etc., offering objective and quantitative information for anaerobic and aerobic stress conditions.
The PhenoCheck camera displays, in real time, vegetation index and spectral maps in both reflectance, fluorescence imaging modes. The camera integrates a proprietary dome illumination module for isolating ambient light and for ensuring glare-free imaging.
Spectral phenotype mapping informs about the presence of pathogens, viruses, pests, water and nutriment stress. It also offers an objective means for the assessment of fruit ripening, for predicting of the optimal harvest date. By integrating all these unique features, the PhenoCheck camera comprises a valuable tool for controlling and optimizing farming, towards reducing the use of fertilizers, pesticides and water.
